Each weekend, at race venues the world over, there is one rider who gets hoisted upon the shoulders of the crowd and carried to the podium. Or at least leaves with a water bottle as their prize. And between each of those races, innumerable wannabes are putting in the hours on the rollers and in the gym all because they want to feel what it's like to take the win. They know that to beat the pack every advantage needs to be acquired. That's where the Blur fits in. We tapped into everything we've learned from years of making the highest quality carbon full-suspension bikes so that we could put as little (weight) as possible into the Blur frame. The trim frame and super-efficient Superlight suspension will be the key to translating your input into competition-beating performances. But the Blur isn't just for the short track. Two water bottle mounts within the front triangle should keep chuggers happy. And the high-quality fit, finish, and carbon construction promises multi-day racers a worry-free existence—meaning there's no fiddly proprietary parts that could leave you stranded in a Cape Epic or Breck Epic campsite. The carbon frame, while being light, is made to go the distance and as always the legendary Santa Cruz lifetime warranty and Rider Support team have got your back. The Blur isn't guaranteed to make you a race winner, but being the lightest, full-suspension carbon XC bike we've ever made (Approx 23lb as complete. Blur frame is 289g lighter than the previous model), it might be the difference between claiming first place...or just crossing the line.
The Heckler is about expanding your own trail map—accessing previously unreachable trails, unlocking less-used trails, and doing so independently. The full carbon frame and interchangeable 504Wh battery keep the weight down compared to bikes with larger batteries, but it's fast and easy to put in a fresh battery for even bigger, longer days. The mixed-wheel option gives riders the confidence of a 29-inch wheel up front for traction and roll-over when you're caught off guard by technical features. But retaining the 27.5 rear wheel allowed us to keep the moderate chainstay length of the Heckler (445mm), which provides a snappy and easy-to-handle bike on tight, demanding trails. We did this without compromising on the standard Heckler's geometry, so the bike's character is still very lithe and accurate. The new Shimano EP8 motor is lighter than the previous unit (380g), has more power (85Nm versus 75Nm), smaller volume (-10%) for greater ground clearance, less drag (50%), more heat resistant, and tuned to give more power in Trail mode. All this means it's even more capable of tackling longer, tougher rides. Like every Santa Cruz bike, the Heckler is built for the rigors of true mountain biking. Shimano electronics were chosen for their refinement and reliability, while quality pivot hardware, easily replaceable radial bearings, and no-nonsense internal cabling were considered with a mechanic's sanity in mind!
The Exie is a World-Cup capable cross-country race bike that flat out shreds. With a sub 2,000g frame weight and dw-link suspension, it offers a stunning combination of pedaling efficiency and downhill performance. We designed, built, and tested it in our Santa Cruz factory, which is powered by the warm California sunshine. BUILT BY US We build each Exie in our Northern California factory. This gives us the utmost control, which enable us to hit remarkable frame strength, stiffness, and weight targets for this frame. Learn more about the process. SIZE SPECIFIC SEAT ANGLES Whether you’re racing short track or on a multi day epic, the Exie’s seat tube angles allows you to harness your strongest muscles, while reducing any potential knee or wrist strain. We’ve also steepened the seat tube angles as the frames get larger, to allow riders with different inseams to achieve the same riding positions. DW-LINK SUSPENSION Don’t squander a single watt. Our dw-link suspension platform offers incredible climbing efficiency and traction along with plush, downhill-crushing goodness. RIDE MORE, WRENCH LESS We use bushings where it makes sense and bearings where it doesn’t. The IGUS bushings in our lower link are lighter, stiffer, and virtually maintenance free. We’ve also added features like a threaded bottom bracket to help make any future maintenance easy. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Internal cable routing doesn’t have to be a pain. We’ve added internal tubes to our tubes, no picksets, flashlights, or swear words required. 2.4” TIRE CLEARANCE You can run overbuilt, chunky tires; you can run light, big volume fast tires, but whatever you run, you’re not limited by width. 2X BOTTLE CLEARANCE The Exie has clearance for two water bottles inside the front triangle on every size frame. INTEGRATED CHAIN GUIDE Drop the hammer, not your chain. SEVEN YEAR WARRANTY If it’s our fault, we’ll fix it. Simple as that.
The word Mojo refers to a magic spell or charm, and more broadly, a magical power. Since its introduction in 1994, the Mojo has delivered a wicked combination of fun and all-mountain prowess. GEOMETRY The Mojo V4 features a 76.6-degree, get-you-up-that-hill seat tube angle, our shortest chainstays, and a spacious reach with a 65.4-degree headtube angle. This enchanting combination rolls on 27.5" wheels to deliver that hoverbike feel with on-trail confidence. DW-LINK Since 2005, we've partnered with suspension guru, Dave Weagle, on the dw-link suspension platform. It provides an unparalleled combination of climbing efficiency and downhill performance, which has been proven repeatedly at the highest levels of racing. TRACTION TUNE Our custom-tuned suspension features extra-light high-speed compression and rebound damping to deliver unparalleled traction. When paired with our dw-link suspension platform, Traction Tune allows the Mojo to track like a big bike without compromising crisp pedaling performance. PICK YOUR SIZE All four sizes have low standover heights and shortened seat tubes for long dropper posts. Now you can choose your frame based on reach-riders 5-feet tall easily fit on a small and still enjoy a 125mm dropper, while most medium and up riders can enjoy a 185mm. All sizes fit a water bottle, and those looking to go packless can run our aftermarket Pork Chop bag. FORK OFFSET Reduced-offset forks give the front wheel greater stability at speed and an additional sense of steadiness at slow speeds too. The Mojo is designed to excel in technical, demanding terrain, and the 37mm-offset gives that extra bit of confidence and control in the most challenging situations. TIRE CLEARANCE The Mojo has clearance for 27.5"x2.6" tires. You can run overbuilt, chunky tires; you can run light, big volume fast tires, but whatever you run, know that you're not limited by width. BUSHINGS Tired of hitting "purchase" on another set of bearings each season? So were we. That's why we use bushings where they make sense, and bearings where they don't. The IGUS bushings in our lower link are lighter and stiffer than bearings and are virtually maintenance-free. We believe so strongly in them, we back them with a free lifetime replacement. LIGHTWEIGHT PREMIUM CARBON FOR EVERYONE All our bikes are built from the highest-grade materials and optimized for the best strength, weight, stiffness, and ride performance-no matter how much you spend. The Mojo weighs a svelte 5.9 lbs with an inline shock, and complete builds start at 26.7 lbs. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Bikes that look pretty on the outside should look pretty on the inside. We use carbon fiber tubes molded within each frame. Push the cable in, watch it pop out, a beautiful moment indeed. REMOVABLE ISCG MOUNT There if you want it, removable if you don't. PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT A polycarbonate downtube protector deflects debris, while molded rubber swing arm protectors keep things quiet and clean. And, our simple-yet-elegant linkage protectors stop mud and rocks thrown by the tire, keeping your beautiful bike beautiful.
Ibis took 5 years to develop the original Ripley 29. At the time they weren't happy with the handling of any of the 29er's on the market and wanted to make sure they got this bike right the first time. Using what they learned to create the poppy and playful Mojo, Ibis finally released the Ripley 29. It was one of the first 29" bikes that handled like it's smaller wheel counterpart. 6 years later, Ibis has given us the 4th generation of Ripley. Taking design cues, carbon layup, and bushing driven suspension links from the Ripmo, we now have the lightest and stiffest Ripley yet! *Please note that although you might see frames or complete bikes listed in stock with only certain options available, we regularly have most build kits, wheels, and suspension options in stock as well. If you'd like to configure something other than how you see it built on our website, please give us a call, shoot us an email, or stop into our store!*
