Steve Kaczmarek formed BOREALIS Fat Bikes in 2013 in Colorado Springs. He came to bike industry from the competitive sailing arena, where the lightest, fastest designs were demanded. Steve saw an opportunity to apply both his deep understanding of carbon fiber and exotic materials to the design of the bikes and apply his practiced operational procedures to control his manufacturing. This combination has driven BOREALIS to be a leader in fat bikes.
